A Story-time on Diversity

This week my library’s children’s department has been busy celebrating El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día. It’s a time to celebrate diversity and uniqueness, but also a time to recognize that we are all special in our own special way. There’s a whole website about it and everything! See it here!

To assist in spreading the message, I did a Pre-school Story-time program on diversity. It seemed to be a hit and so without further ado and with no airs or graces, here is the power-point.

Feel free to use and enjoy.

In the picture about our crafts are shown. I had children draw a picture of themselves, or write their name, or color their template of a crayon. Then we took their templates and stuck them to our crayon box.

I got the idea from Pinterest here (and the poem is move visible here too).

Until next time….
